I am not very good at updating journals it seems. It has been well over a year since my first entry, and my first art show. I have done quite a few shows since then, made lots of new friends and am still all over the board on my subject matter.

I am currently working on a political piece of C.Rice, GWBush and DCheney - commissioned for someone that is not happy with the current administration. Hopefully it will be posted this year - I am very slow in it - but it is oil, so does need some drying time between layers!

I am also almost done with 'Dali and Picasso meet for coffee' which incoporates both Dali's style with Picasso's, including characatures of their faces. I am excited. Only have to finish Picasso's face.

My other big news is that I submitted and was accepted into the California State Fair in Sacramento! 'Lonely Avenue' was accepted in mixed media and has won an Award of Merit from the judges. The fair is open on August 17th and runs through September 3rd, 2007. If you have a chance to go check it out, it is more than just cows and pigs. They have a full Fine Art competition as well as a crafting competition. I expect you could find me around the home brew section.

I will try to keep posting - my style will probably be once a year!
